Tabernacle Baptist Church

A Church with a Heart for People!

Tabernacle Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church, and is not affiliated with any convention, fellowship, or association. We are proud of our true Baptist heritage which can be traced back to the first-century church. This heritage has not always been known by the name Baptist, but had names like Paulitians, the People of the Book, and the name our enemies gave us: Ana-Baptists. Our church is dedicated to the same beliefs that these brave martyrs of the faith stood for: beliefs that are based on the Bible. True Baptists are not tied to a name or denomination, but we are unwaveringly tied to the book, the Bible. Baptist are in effect Biblicists. Our beliefs come from the Bible and no other source.

 

History shows that the following beliefs were shared by our spiritual forefathers and have been held by Bible fundamentalists since before the inception of America. These beliefs are as follows:

B - Bible as our sole authority

A - Autonomy of the Local Church

P - The Priesthood of the Believer

T - Two Church Ordinances (Baptism by Immersion, Lord's Supper)

I - Individual Soul Liberty and Responsibility

S - Saved, Baptized Church Membership

T - Two Church Offices (Pastor and Deacon)

S - Separation of Church and State

These are the core beliefs of our church. This is what sets us apart from all other faiths. We are Bible-believing Christians who have been saved by the blood of Christ,  and our name is Baptist.
